As a consultant, I always learn new things from my past projects. Below is a list of questions that I think are good to ask moving forward. I wanted to share them with you today:
- What is the value of the application being worked on?
- What will success look like?
- What is the expected velocity for new features?
- What is the expected quality of the new features?
- Is there a code review process in place?
- Is there an interaction guideline in place?
- Does your organization have an overarching branding and design system in place?
- Have you collaborated with Designers on a UI / UX strategy?
- Have you created and user-tested a web prototype?
- Do you have metrics on user behavior and feature usage?
- Do you plan on incorporating web analytics for the application? If so, what are the key business metrics?
- How are features, bugs, and enhancements prioritized?
- What will make you extremely happy to have made this investment?
